If you Downloaded Flashable Zip:
Just flash zip with any custom recovery

If you Downloaded img:
Flash img "recovery" partition using Nokia X Flasher
Or: you must have fastboot set up on your pc and then:

adb reboot bootloader

fastboot -i 0x0421 flash recovery TWRP-3.0.3-normandy-XL.img
